Good Friday

April, 18

Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum. The day is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, and Black Friday. Good Friday is observed on the Friday immediately preceding Easter Sunday. Christians around the world commemorate the passion, or suffering, and death on the cross of Jesus Christ on this day. Many Christians spend Good Friday in fasting, prayer, repentance, and meditation on the agony and suffering of Christ.
